A hardy and upright-growing cactus with ribbed stems about 8" in diameter (known as "Big Bone") that produce a spectacular white fragrant night blooming flower followed by a red apple-looking edible fruit. This sun loving cactus can also be grown in bright interiors. Occassionally found in a spiral form. Thorns range from very small to approximately 1/2 inch. The bumpy looking Monstrosus form, sometimes called 'Curiosity Plant' has an irregular slow growing pattern of constantly forming new bluish-green heads. |
