Description
This popular succulent has the unmistakable rosette shape without the end spines. As a native to Mexico, it is slow growing and will produce a 5 to 10 foot vertical flower stalk of yellow green blossoms after approximately 10 years. Can be used in sun or light shade.
Care and Handling
Hardy to 30 degrees with a minimum average temperature of 50 degrees. It can survive with infrequent watering, but it requires regular watering in the summer. It can tolerate poor soil and drought, but it does much better in good soil with regular water. After flowering, the main plant then dies leaving suckers that grow into replacement plants. It can be used in seaside plantings. Protect from snails.
