Aloe tomentosa

This Aloe forms a single rosette to 2 feet tall by 4 feet wide with pale green leaves. The tall branched inflorescence bears unique chartreuse flowers covered in thick wool. Plant in full sun to light shade and irrigate infrequently – this is a winter dormant aloe but seems to tolerate winter rainfall if planted in a well-drained soil. Known to bloom in late summer, but we have only seen them bloom in March on our farm.
